http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwNMafc_PGU - another link for sci-fi eerie noises. also even though its animated the way the camera appears to be flying/floating around the room is the kind of thing we want to create for the virus as it moves but faster.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqGcQfKsNoE - this is only a short clip but i like how it creates a bit of pace and sound quite sci-fi which is the kind of sounds we need to create, especially when thinking about the POV from the virus as we want to make a sound that as soon as yo hear it you know its not human and feels quite threatening
In 28 days later a virus is spread and eventually 'takes over the world'. In one scene a crow drops blood into a mans eye and he becomes infected. This kind of passing of the virus is the kind of thing we want to go for (except just from human to human). The no fuss way of people getting infected is the point of our film, because we're showing how the virus goes on a journey and is easily spread from carrier to carrier. http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi4071817497/ this is a trailer for the film and at the beginning you see the shot of the blood dropping in his eye and how he becomes infected.

in our film we want to use images like these when the researcher/scientist looks into the microscope, or to introduce the idea of a virus at the beginning with the definition.

A virus is a sub-microscopic infectious agent that is unable to grow or reproduce outside a host cell. This is a definition of a virus, and we want to use at the beginning of our piece, to fully establish that it is a virus in our film. also it helps to explain our film, because the virus goes from carrier to carrier rather than reproducing.
The sounds that i was hoping to create within the project were eerie, distinctive sounds that would hopefully cause a quite tense atmosphere. The key to making this project successful is getting the audience on board and without sound a film is dull and uninteresting so by creating quite animalistic sounds, pareticularly when coming from the point of view of the virus, the sense of suspense will be greater. Films such as jaws, 28 Days Later and many other horror films, even typical teen horrors can all create a sense of tension for the audience if the picture and sound are balanced in such a way as to keep them on the edge of their seats.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvCI-gNK_y4 - this is a link to the jaws theme tune, which is one of the most iconic sounds in film history. we want to recreate something like this with our virus, a sound that is recognisable and is able to distinguish the virus and create suspense.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2c6g6eG1mQ - this a link to The Streets video 'the escapist'. I think escaping is a good concept of journey and the video is an actual journey, following Mike walking in lots of different locations trying to find somewhere to escape to. i like how you don't see his face but see him mostly form the back until the end where we get a side shot of his face as he has stopped walking. I think it's a clever idea and like how its simple yet effective.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQxNjEEcPj4 - this is a link for a trailer of the film 'Tuesday'. The film itself doesn't really relate to our idea, but techinically it has a lot of interesting shots and editing techniques that it hink would be good to explore for our film.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jgi2SadY9MU - this is the link for a trailer for the film 'Flubber'. I like how Flubber takes on its own personality and how it moves into people and around spaces. I think we could use this idea for our virus, but obviously from POV.
